ATTEND SESSIONS WITH PRO ATHLETES.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Hands-on learning out of the classroom is key for a successful career in sport. From coaching in your local community, to coaching abroad in a different country. Work Experience is at the centre of the LLS course, with a student building up over 500 hours of it on average during the course.

You will receive two full days to complete Work Experience in your local community or further afield as opportunities arise. Building your professional network, as well as your CV.

After only a few weeks on the course, you will be able to lead sessions and coach children in a variety of settings. Developing not only them, but also yourself.

There are limitless opportunities to obtain work experience alongside industry professionals in areas such as sports nutrition, physiotherapy and sport business.

GLOBAL EXCHANGES

The LLS course is so much more than classroom learning. Each year, students have the opportunity to travel abroad and add global coaching to their CV through our International Exchanges. From delivering sessions at schools in Spain, to leading sports clubs in Finland, there are exciting opportunities spread throughout the academic year.

Spend up to two weeks at Kisakallio, a legendary multi-sports facility near Helsinki that was purpose built as an Olympic training centre. Students will coach sessions and learn new sports such as curling, canoeing, and beach volleyball to name just a few.

An epic week-long Spanish adventure awaits in Alicante. Visit La Liga football stadiums, take part in morning beach Strength and Conditioning sessions and coach multi-sports at traditional Spanish and International schools.

Swap your local LLS centre for our Tenerife centre for up to one month. Based in the incredible Tenerife Top Training, our LLS Tenerife site is home to tutor Jason and a class full of future sports professionals, just like yourself. Continue your studies in the classroom with them, and then head outside to take part in practical sessions in the Spanish sun.

LEAD COACHING SESSIONS AROUND THE WORLD.

GUEST SPEAKERS

As an LLS student, you will hear from a number of guest speakers, ranging from Olympic medal-winning athletes to C.E.O’s of sporting businesses and elite sports coaches. Guest speakers could visit your local LLS centre, deliver a masterclass online or you could even travel to where they work or train to be given a guided tour of the facilities followed by a Q&A.

From martial arts and combat sports to football, you will hear from varied and inspiring professional athletes. Expect to hear about the level of dedication it takes to make it to the Olympics, or how what it’s really like to play in the Premier League.

The vast majority of jobs in sport are behind the scenes and are incredibly varied. You will hear from world-class coaches, nutritionists, physiotherapists, sports psychologists and many more who have a career in sport.

Alongside hearing from industry professionals, there will also be plenty of opportunities to speak directly and network with guest speakers. This is your opportunity to build your contacts in the industry, and make a lasting impression that could help you find your dream job in sport.

GLOBAL COACHING CONFERENCE

The Global Coaching Conference is an incredible opportunity for LLS students to network together, meet global employers, impress employers during practical coaching sessions and secure the coaching job of a lifetime in countries located all over the world.

There are global employment opportunities at the GCC that cannot be found anywhere else, and our GCC event is exclusively for our students.

With a varied and select group of employers in attendance, you can expect to choose between coaching abroad in countries such as USA, Canada, China, Qatar, Ireland and more.

Students who coach abroad will typically go for up to three months, but more than likely will return the following year or even be offered a more permanent position and the opportunity to live and work abroad for much longer.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we bring together all current female LLS students to celebrate women in sport. Students network together, hear from successful women in sport, and take part in a number of exclusive workshops throughout the day.

Hear from professional female athletes and women in sports business who have incredible stories to share.

This is an opportunity to speak to and connect with other LLS female students from around the UK, as well as professionals in the sports industry.

More than just presentations, our Women Who Lead event features unique, hands-on workshops where students work closely together with guest speakers in a practical setting.
