An exciting year ahead: LLS highlights for 2026
As we look ahead to 2026, we have an exciting calendar of opportunities planned for students across sport, fitness and education. From immersive expos and international travel to inspirational events and elite-level competitions, the year promises to deliver unforgettable experiences that support both personal growth and career development. Below is a look at some of the key highlights our students can expect in 2026.
LLS Fitness and Football Expos
Students have an exciting opportunity to look forward to in February with the Fitness and Football Expos. Designed for those looking to step into the world of fitness or football, these expos are set to be bigger and better than ever. The Fitness Expo will provide hands-on experiences such as Hyrox-style training, breathwork sessions, saunas and expert-led nutrition insights, giving students practical exposure to the industry. Alongside this, the Football Expo offers students the chance to visit elite facilities including Finch Farm and the AXA Training Centre, while also speaking directly with professionals currently working within the game. With just 50 places available per expo at £99 per person, these exclusive opportunities are not to be missed.

Alicante Trip 2026
In March 2026, our students can also look forward to the highly anticipated Alicante trip. This week-long experience allows students to travel to sunny Spain, immerse themselves in Spanish culture and create unforgettable memories abroad. During the trip, students will coach in local Spanish schools, explore the sights of Alicante and visit iconic football destinations, including Valencia CF’s famous Mestalla Stadium. A highlight of the annual LLS calendar, the Alicante trip combines travel, culture and valuable international coaching experience. Students consistently return with lasting memories, increased confidence and new skills. Be sure to follow us on social media to see what each group gets up to during their time in Alicante.

Women Who Lead
To celebrate International Women’s Day, we are proud to host Women Who Lead, an inspiring annual event that brings together all current female LLS students to celebrate and champion women in sport. Delivered in partnership with Liverpool Hope University, the event creates a supportive environment where students can connect, share experiences and build meaningful professional relationships. Throughout the day, students will hear from successful women working across the sports industry, gaining valuable insight from their real-life journeys. A series of exclusive workshops focused on personal development, leadership and professional networking will equip attendees with the skills, confidence and motivation to support their future careers.

MIC Cup, Catalonia
This Easter, our Northern Irish Football Performance Programme students will return to Catalonia, Spain for the second time to compete in the prestigious MIC Cup. This internationally recognised tournament has previously showcased world-class talent such as Lamine Yamal, Cole Palmer, Rodri and Marcus Rashford. Last year, our players faced strong opposition including West Coast Elite and Real Mallorca, while competing alongside elite clubs such as Manchester City, Barcelona and Liverpool. This year, we are delighted to be taking two squads to represent the Football Performance Programme. We wish all players the very best of luck and encourage everyone to follow their experience by keeping up with our social media channels.
