LLS is proud to announce that former two-weight world boxing champion Carl Frampton has officially joined the team as an ambassador—bringing his passion, experience, and global sporting legacy to inspire the next generation of students across our Sixth Form Sports Courses.

Known as "The Jackal," Frampton is one of Northern Ireland's most celebrated athletes, with a career that includes world titles in both the super-bantamweight and featherweight divisions. His journey from grassroots boxing in Belfast to global stardom embodies everything LLS stands for: resilience, ambition, and the power of sport to transform lives.

As an ambassador, Carl will play a key role in motivating young people to pursue careers in sport—whether that's coaching, performance, or leadership. He'll be supporting LLS students through exclusive content, in-person appearances, and digital campaigns that spotlight the real-life impact of sport education.

"I would of loved something like this to be around when I was your age but there wasn't" – said Frampton when chatting to LLS Derry graduate Eoghan Masolober  "but there wasn't but it's great to see it now"
