
Course Overview
Our rugby union programme has been created for students who have ambitions of securing a career in the rugby industry. This courses gives you the opportunity to play and train as part of a rugby union academy – whilst gaining a qualification in sport.
Whether you have dreams of playing at a professional level, or your ambition is to work as a coach, analyst or even a physiotherapist, this Rugby Programme will give you everything you need to reach your goals.

Your Qualification
Over the course of two academic years, students will earn the Pearson Level 3 National Extended BTEC Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development (2019). This is a full-time programme meaning you will have around 15 hours of lessons split between theory and practical, the rest of your week will be self-studying and gaining work experience.

The qualification carries up to 168 UCAS points, which is the equivalent to studying 3 A-Levels and is 100% coursework based. Perfect for those who prefer to learn without the pressure of exams.

Pearson Approved Centre
Each one of our centres around the UK are proudly approved by Pearson. This ensures that our education provision delivered to each student is at an exceptionally high level and we are assessed regularly by Pearson.

Rugby Opportunities
Our rugby students are given some fantastic experiences. Pathways for talented players include the chance to secure a rugby scholarship. Those wishing to coach rugby abroad can apply for paid jobs at the Global Coaching Conference. All students are given international opportunities including a rugby camp in Alicante.
