Welcome Aboard: Toni Duggan

Picking up 11 major trophies throughout her career, Toni Duggan is an icon of the women’s game. She got her start at Everton FC, where she won the League Cup and FA Cup, on top of being named the 2009 FA Women’s Young Player of the Year. After a move to Manchester City, she won the FA Cup, 2 League Cups, and a League title to do the double in 2016. 

Toni’s move to Spain saw her playing for Barcelona, gaining 3 honours in a Copa de la Reina and 2 Copa Catalunyas. Her final stint in Spain was in the Spanish capital with Atletico Madrid. where her side was victorious in the Supercopa de España Femenina Final, before finishing her career back on Merseyside with Everton FC.

Toni’s had some special moments on the pitch. For instance, scoring on her England debut at 15 years old, or netting in the UEFA Under-19s final on her 18th birthday for England. Moreover, not only was she awarded Young Player of the Year in 2009, she also won the 2012 England Women’s Under-23s Player of the Year.

She can boast 116 goals for club and country throughout her senior career, gaining 79 England caps in the meantime. Not to mention winning the 2015 SheBelieves cup with the Lionesses in 2019, and placing 3rd in the 2015 World Cup.

That’s why we’re proud to announce Toni Duggan as an LLS Ambassador. A legend of the sport who’s won trophies with some of the biggest clubs in the world, having Toni represent LLS is an amazing milestone for us and we’re looking forward to big things to come.
