Congratulations to Kirkby for Winning the LLS Girls Football Tournament
Sixth form students from Kirkby, Flint, Prestatyn, and Holyhead at Llandudno FC's stadium
LLS has centres for sixth form sports courses all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, all full of students with amazing athletic abilities. So, what better way to showcase our coaches’ skills than with the first ever LLS Girls Football Tournament. Sixth form students from four different centres went head to head to find out who would come out on top.
The centres taking part were Prestatyn, Flint, Holyhead, and Kirkby. Sixth form students from all four centres took a break from the LLS sports course to make their way down to Llandudno FC’s 3,000 capacity stadium for a fantastic day of competitive football.
All the teams put up a great showing, however it was the LLS Kirkby side that went unbeaten to become the inaugural winners of the LLS Football Tournament. They triumphed with some outstanding performances that left them with the silverware, and the crown of LLS champions.
We plan to hold the LLS Girls Football Tournament annually, so this is just the first of many to come. For now, the LLS Kirkby centre can be proud to call themselves the LLS football champions, at least until next year.
Thanks to everyone involved from the Kirkby, Prestatyn, Flint, and Holyhead LLS centres for helping to make the first LLS Girls Football Tournament so successful.
