Wrap Up: The Global Coaching Conference 2025
LLS sixth form students' view during the Global Coaching Conference
We at LLS would like to thank all of the sixth form sports course students who attended the Global Coaching Conference 2025 at the Etihad Stadium!
This year saw 300 students from the LLS sixth form sports course attend the Conference. We host the GCC so that all of these students can apply for unique coaching opportunities in person. Our sports course prepares students for real-world experience, so we want to provide real-world opportunities. They chose from several attending organisations, including Challenger Sports, Evolution Sports Qatar, Shared Earth, and Skill School NI. Then came an assessment through an interview or a sports coaching session. They will find out soon whether they’ve been successful.
Successful sixth form students will spend next summer abroad in countries ranging from the USA, Canada, Qatar, and Northern Ireland. They’ll hone their sports coaching skills in new surroundings, gaining new experiences and building memories. Good luck to those coaches still waiting for their answer, and congratulations to the students who will be heading off to coach sports abroad next summer.
It was another fantastic event at the Etihad Stadium. Crystal murals of Manchester City legends like Bernardo Silva and Vincent Kompany lined the halls, and the screens around the ground beamed with the LLS logo.
Our sixth form students also enjoyed a guided tour of the Etihad. They could admire City’s impressive trophy cabinet, which currently houses 10 League Titles and a Champions League trophy, and a few more to boot.
Most importantly, our students were able to put their skills into practice and access opportunities that would be unavailable anywhere else. Not only do they get a chance to find work abroad, they can gain valuable experience in building their knowledge and confidence when it comes to applying for similar roles. That’s why our model at LLS is based around work experience, so that our sixth form students are prepared when they meet the real world.
