LLS Spotlight: Scholarship to the USA
Maxi Moore is an LLS sixth form student in his second year who’s already earned a University scholarship for Murray State College in Oklahoma. His golf scholarship means that after he graduates from the LLS sixth form sports course, he’ll be spending the next few years in the USA.
Not only will he get to experience living abroad in an incredible new environment, he’ll get to do it while playing the sport he’s loved since he was a boy.
He’s been playing golf since he was a young lad, and now he’s had six 1st place finishes in tournaments this year alone. In July, Maxi and his teammates were victorious in the England Boys’ County Finals, capping off a year of fantastic wins. From the Childwall Junior Open, the Wallasey Junior Open, the West Derby Junior Championship and Men’s Championship, the Formby Junior Open, and placing first in the Junior European Qualifier, Maxi’s astonishing dedication has all paid off this year.
Now, after graduating from LLS, he’ll have his sights set on a career as a pro. Earning a scholarship is no easy feat, so that’s why we’re made up to see Maxi on such a promising path this early on. Playing the sport you love on a regular basis is something that many people struggle to do. Now, Maxi’s earned himself some remarkable opportunities through following his love of sport.
Next year, he’ll be on a brand new experience with amazing people, doing amazing things.
His hard work and dedication to golfing and LLS has allowed him to earn his place studying abroad. Living in the USA is an amazing opportunity for anyone, and it’s something he can look forward to because of his dedication and talent, so good luck Maxi.
