Get To Know The Employers For The LLS Global Coaching Conference

At the end of the LLS Multi-Sports Programme, students receive an invitation to our largest calendar event of the year, The Global Coaching Conference. As part of this annual event, we fly our partner employers from all around the world to the UK to offer paid global opportunities, exclusively to LLS students. Previously we have had job roles offered such as multi-sports coaches, fitness interns, camp leaders, football coaches and camp counsellors. 

Global Coaching

As this is LLS’ biggest day of the year, we like to host the event at legendary venues to make the day feel as special as possible. Over the last few years, the GCC has been hosted at Anfield Stadium – the home of Liverpool FC.

Here, we have compiled information on the global employers to support our students with their decision.

Challenger Sports – America

One of our popular Global employers is Challenger Sports . They are a fantastic football summer camp for kids during their break from school. They provide activity across their summer break by bringing them all together to enjoy playing football and to make new friends.  Coaches would be expected to deliver excellent and fun sessions from a guide produced by Challenger which includes what area of football to teach, to what age group as well as full days or half days. Our students will be living with host families during their stay in America. 

The camps allow coaches to travel to the United States to develop their coaching skills as well as having the summer of a lifetime exploring their state in their free time. Many students return to Challenger because of the amazing life experiences they endure. 

Evolution Sports – Qatar

Another of our global employers is Evolution Sports located in Qatar with state of the art facilities for all sporting needs. They are labelled the leading sports provider in the country as they aim to challenge and inspire young athletes. Evo offers sports sessions to children over six years old. This may range from simple ball sports such as basketball to swimming and archery meaning that they are diverse. A part of the organisation is ‘little ballers’ as well as having their teams entered in different leagues such as netball leagues.

Evolution sports focus on making sports sessions educational and enjoyable for their “evo minis” which reflects on the type of coach they want working for their company. The post holder must have at least 1 NGB sporting qualification and 6 months coaching experience. They have limited places available to our coaches as they look for the highest quality.

Smaller Earth- America and Canada

Smaller Earth is slightly different to the other destinations available at the global coaching conference. In America and Canada it is common that children go to summer camps during their break away from school. Smaller Earth hosts a range of activities from arts and crafts to horse riding as well as basic sports. This organisation recruits enthusiastic students to become camp leaders for the summer. Camp leaders will be expected to express their excitable personality to ensure that the children have an experience to remember.

Global Coaching in Canada

Camp leaders will also be expected to be adaptable to each activity planned. Smaller Earth is a great opportunity to take if students would like to become teachers or coaches as they will be responsible for a group of young children all summer, learning about behaviour as well as learning about a new culture.

KO8 Fitness – Dubai

KO8 is a high-end fitness organisation located in Dubai. Employees will learn all about how they operate their boutique fitness studio, and also how they build their brand globally with products, educational programmes and digital app KO8 On Demand. They are looking for groups of fitness enthusiasts to travel in pairs and join them for 2 week internships. An ideal candidate will have a passion for functional training and content creation. Some activities include shadowing the coach’s sessions and helping with the day to day operations of the gym

Global Coaching in Dubai

Additionally Students will be expected to assist with social media duties related to brand building. A Level 2 Fitness Instructor is the prerequisite needed to apply. Gym experience is preferred but not essential. However, the key thing is being able to take on tasks when asked and quick thinking.  Students will be staying in a hotel and have the role of a ‘fitness intern’. This opportunity is great for gym lovers and social media enthusiasts.

Skill School – Northern Ireland

Lastly, our final global employer is a bit closer to home ( and may already be home to some of our students), Skill School in Northern Ireland. Skill School is a multiple sports company that asks for child-friendly coaches that have the ability to prepare well and deliver with confidence. They offer work in their summer camps as well as in primary school physical education lessons. When Students travel to Northern Ireland they will be provided accommodation and have the opportunity to explore when they aren’t working.

Skill School ask for a coach that shows a good enthusiastic personality whilst delivering a fun and engaging session for participants whilst  ensuring health and safety of participants is paramount at all times.

This destination may be ideal for those that are more comfortable staying in the UK but still want global coaching experience
